Meet Danna…
The force behind The Design Code Since childhood, I have always been very passionate about every aspect of design from interior design to graphic design.
A native of Rochester, NY, currently living in Charlotte, NC. I received my bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Alabama A&M University and Masters in Finance from Strayer University. Upon graduation I entered into corporate America. For years, I was looking for a challenge and did some soul searching and realized my true passion was design.
My real passion is interior and event design, I love and live for design. I would describe my style as modern and artful. My goal is to improve my clients’ everyday lives.
Majority of my inspiration comes from the world around and thinking how can I incorporate them into functional designs. The things I see walking to work, all things HGTV, DIY Network and Pinterest. I try to stay up on the latest design trends for events and spaces. I am inspired when traveling; which I try to do often, even if it’s just local gems. I find myself in awe when visiting different countries, seeing the different traditions, building structures and décor.
One of the biggest inspirations would be my clients. Getting to know them is key. Their favorite place to visit, colors, memories are all very important when bringing their vision to life.
